Well, I had a fairly productive weekend, although I flaked out on some social stuff due to antisocialness. I got our bedroom mostly clean--it needs to be vacuumed and the closet is trashed, and the vanity area. But the floor is mostly clear. I got a little bit done in the two other bedrooms but not enough.
I talked on the phone a lot and finally saw bellwitch.

And once again, not pregnant. My period was early, and I'm kind of annoyed but oh well.

Today Dave and I went to see Pirates, at last, and then when we came home I hung up the mosquito netting around the hot tub so that project is all done, I think!

Pierre is in his crate right now. I got him another crate for downstairs which Dave thinks is dumb but I don't care. He says it's a waste but eventually we will get another dog who will also be crate trained so we'll need a crate for that dog as well. I also signed him up for obedience classes, starting August 6. Hopefully he'll improve in that 8 week time frame. I'm getting really tired of dog/puppy interaction.

Anyway, I think I'm going to go in the hot tub pretty soon.

okay so i'm in a sort of better mood but i'm really sleepy and don't feel like i should go back to bed. i folded some laundry that has been hanging around in my office for several months, probably some of it pre-wedding. and i threw away some trash. there is a lot to be done around the house. especially if it is going to be appraised again.
scary scary.
i need to make some coffee.
i am pretending it is fall weather outside and that if i were to go out there i would need to put on a flannel shirt.
i love controlled climates because they allow me to imagine such things. i saw one of my favorite flannels in the pile of laundry and it made me feel that it is supposed to be time to wear it again. ha ha.
sprite sometimes seems even bigger than she was but i don't think it's true. but i look at her sometimes and she's HUGE! the rest of the time she is just a furry potato.
and phoebe is always a little m&m.

busy cutting out more patterns. this time for my second day dress/ensemble. who knows if i'll actually get around to making it.

have not yet worked out today, but i will, most likely after i have some caffeine.

we got a new cable box today.

craig offered to do some beadwork for my dress. although i was thinking it would be plain, i don't think i can pass up the offer to have that done...it would be so pretty! and i could use the lace that barb gave me, which would be nice. but that means i really should get the dress done asap so that craig can have it to work on for maximum time.

okay, time to do some more cleaning and then other stuff...

sprite is a bad dog who woke me up this morning. although really i should have woken up because i have a lot to do today. i am still tired, though.

so, dave and i went to see 'sky captain' today, which i enjoyed but i don't think dave did so much. i thought it was very pretty. then i watched a bunch of tv, like 'cold case,' which annoyed me because i HATE that cbs ALWAYS has sports on and it changes start times, so i miss part of 'law and order: ci.' then dave and i watched 'boston legal' because it has both james spader and william shatner in it. i decided to quibble about the short skirts and long hair of all of the women lawyers...
tomorrow i'm going to be busy cleaning and then classes are starting. and i have to get that dining room table out of my car as well.
i think that's about all for now...

so, i didn't make it back to atlanta today...it is my last day in columbia and i was busy running crazy errands, like buying my fabric, and getting rags for work, and dropping things off at work, and taking apart the dining room table in a vain attempt to fit it into my car...i have one more thing to try before i give up. i also got the rest of the stuffed animals from my dad's, as well as my peter rabbit and holly hobby cups that match my plates, that i used to eat off of when i was little. also the salt and pepper shakers from my mom and dad's first set of dishes.
tomorrow morning my mom and kate and i are going to get up super early to go yardsaling. apparently here yard sales start at SEVEN! are people INSANE????
anyway, i didn't watch the debates but i did watch the daily show's coverage which my mom's boyfriend taped for us...
okay, i should think about bed, probably...

so...monday was fun hanging out with bellwitch....then i came home and our house was leaking. i think dave mostly fixed it and will finish fixing it this weekend. sometimes i don't like owning a house, since if i were renting then a house leak would be someone else's problem. part of the leak was caused by sprite's decision to kill the drainpipe and drag it into the bushes, i think.
then yesterday i spent at registration. but i'm finally registered, and only have one class to try to add into. i feel bad about not being able to clean the house i was supposed to, however...so i'm going to spend a little free extra time there next monday.
then today i got up at 5:30 to drive to columbia. that kind of sucked. at our last place to clean today i got bitten by two tiny black ants and now my foot is swollen. it's gross. i think i must be allergic to tiny black ants. dave says i should take some benadryl but i don't know if we have any. after work we had our farewell potluck party. that was fun but lasted longer than i thought it would so i didn't go over to my dad's. now i need to go to bed so i can get up in the morning to work my LAST DAY IN COLUMBIA!!!!! i am so excited that i'll be back in atlanta full time!!!!!
then possibly i will be able to clean up and maybe even paint the inside of my house, since the leaky wall now looks horrible and needs to be painted. it would also be nice if i could get some more cleaning clients so could afford to buy some paint...

okay...so my mom was in town this weekend, which was a lot of fun. we ate at cafe intermezzo on friday night, and then watched 'freaky friday,' which my mom had already seen. then we got up early on saturday and went yard saling. i got a rainbow vacuum for $25...it's been sadly abused, but even if it needs new motors it will still cost less than $500, i think. i'm going to clean it up and see how it does. then we went to the opera, which i really liked. i thought the review in the ajc was completely off. and carmen is one of my favorite operas, so i'm pretty critical. then we went to michael's this morning, and the used movie store at northlake.
i really like it when my mom comes to visit. i'm glad that i'll be back here full time again, so she can come visit more. it's very different than in columbia.
also, i have an extra pixies ticket if anyone on my friends list want to buy it. i paid more than face value for it but will sell it for what i paid for it--$61. it's downstairs, i think right orchestra row OOO. so not the best seats but certainly not the worst, either.

apparently the ivory puzzleball chess set is missing...i am SOOOOO pissed off. my dad and mom bought that chess set together in new york over 30 years ago. it better be in the attic or i'm going to kill someone.
daddy and barb thought it was in my old bedroom. it was, about ten years ago. i think it got put up in the attic when neil died and all that old furniture came into the house. i think the mattress or boxsprings from my old bed were under the bed that is in there now, so the chess set wouldn't fit. daddy doesn't think he would have put it up in the attic, but i think maybe he did. he's going to start looking for it tomorrow. barb says it doesn't count towards the 45 daily attic minutes.
okay, i really need to go to bed.

so, getting round two of the attic goods...nothing all too exciting, except my peter rabbit plate from when i was little. no silver, alas...
lots of knives, none very good, but probably better than the ones i have.
my eye is itching me right now.
i need to go work on this thing for my mom and then do my yoga because i left my cd here and haven't done yoga for days.
my mom has some crazy idea about jetting off to france for a few days to look at gites. hopefully it will work out, because it sounds GREAT!
dave is going to kill me for bringing all of this stuff home, like all of my stuffed animals from when i was little. i am not getting rid of them. i need to make some shelves to put them on. there are a lot of them, and they are all REAL. (velveteen rabbit reference)
okay, time to do some work.

hmmm...i've started cleaning out my car. i spent too much money this weekend. i hate money. maybe that's why i spend it so fast. anyway, i'm worried i'm going to be very short on funds.

i am sooo bad during halloween, and then there are so many other things going on this october! i want to go see the dracula ballet, and go to the sc fair, and see jason's band play their farewell show, and i'm going to the pixies, and i want a t-shirt from that.

FINALLY that horrible penguinboy removed me from his friends list...
today was a good day. tygerlilly and i went to lakewood and joann and target and barnes and noble and kroger...some of those part of the QUEST for martha stewart's living october issue...which we found at kroger.
i got stuff. some bracelets and a necklace at lakewood, gray suit fabric at joann (and halloween tree ornaments), bat lotion dispenser and candy corn towel and FOO DOG bookends at target, and then the magazine at kroger.
then i came home and dave told me he took pictures of the dog next door climbing over our fence, and that sprite was totally unconcerned about said dog until dave went outside, and then she bit the dog on the butt as he was climbing over the fence. before that dave said she was being friendly.
oh, i got my ring cleaned at lakewood as well. it is very sparkly now.
i need to go work out and i'm watching poirot.

so, i didn't get home until after 9:30... my brake lights were out and then part of my car started to fall off on the interstate so i had to stop and call AAA. the tow truck driver took the part the rest of the way off so i could drive home and dave will fix it for me.
blah.
so, sirinek and tygerlilly, let's reschedule cleaning, maybe for next friday?
also, tygerlilly, are we still on for sometime this weekend?

i'm very tired right now and will probably go to bed soon.

dave and i enjoyed siouxsie last night, even though it was very warm.
today i went over to rikki5050's to see her house and meet the wonderful dogs! they are just great!
then i went to borders and bought some books i don't need, and then came home and took a little nap. dave is at work.
i need to clean up some and also work out.
i am almost able to fit into my college jeans!!!

so, dave was in a car accident last night! he's okay, though, and so is his car. but he didn't get home until 10! he said that some paint got scraped off his bumper, but that was all. the guy who hit him then hit someone else as well.
then this morning sprite and phoebe were under the deck looking for critters, and sprite cut her face. i put some neosporin on it. maybe i'll take phoebe to the vet tomorrow because she's not walking on her foot again, and if i take phoebe, i might take sprite as well, although she'll probably be okay. i'll see what the cut looks like tomorrow. i think she got poked with a nail--it's more like that kind of wound than a cut.
okay, back to waiting around for my hair to dye...

so my test went well. i did very well on the first three parts, and well enough on the algebra. i haven't done any algebra in a very long time!
then i went to the grocery store, joann, and michaels. i need to get some more beads.
i have a headache now. i think i'll go to bed so i can get up at a reasonable hour tomorrow and not feel like i'm wasting my weekend.

i slept late today, but that's fine. i have to take that test soon, but that's also fine.
last night i dreamed two time i was a prostitute. very weird. but it was all pre-sex. one time i was japanese, and then when this guy started speaking japanese, i couldn't understand it, which was rather embarrassing.
